Why do you worship God?

It is good to worship God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He will do. The best reason to worship God is to worship Him for who He is. Who is God to you? 

I worship God because He is the revealers of secret.

I worship God because He is Almighty.

I worship God because He is my saviour.

Introduction to spirituality

There are two world. The spiritual and the physical. The spiritual world has the light world and the dark world. The physical world has the good and the bad moment and behavioural. Human are both spiritual and physical being. In the spiritual world, humans worship and follow either the light or dark world. In physical world humans chooses either to do good or bad by the will power we all have. The spiritual controls the physical. The spiritual world in us either light or dark makes us to worship, follow, choose to do good or bad also determines the moments and behavioural attitude.

The custodian of the light world is Jesus Christ while the custodian of the dark world is the devil. The Almighty God is owner of the world and the custodian.

What Sunday is about?

In Nigeria, we view the day Sunday has a day we go to Church and worship God. In my own family, it is a day we must wake up early go to church and prepare for service for other members coming to church. It is also a day we meet other members of the church and we interact. Some people even call it a day to rest from any activities.

I have been doing these activities from my childhood now am asking is this what the day Sunday all about?

The greatest event in human history occurred on Sunday. Jesus rose from the grave on the first day of the week, which is the New Testament term for Sunday1. “Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene” (Mark 16:9).

The Lord's Day in Christianity is generally Sunday, the principal day of communal worship. It is observed by most Christians as the weekly memorial of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is said in the canonical Gospels to have been witnessed alive from the dead early on the first day of the week.

The question now is does Sunday remind us of the resurrection of Jesus Christ?

Mind and Regeneration processes

We usually say repent of your sin but it has processes. I realized last week Sunday from Father's Bible Church lekki message that we need Holy Spirit to change and the change start with your mind then your heart and life. These scriptures back it up. Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

If you go to church and you don't catch fire (I mean get revival in your spirit) to sustain you throughout the rest of the week, you just attended your village meeting or social gathering for fun. If you go to church and you still feel trouble and depress, you just attended something that add fired pan to your fire. One of these ministrations must touch your spirit. Either word ministration or song ministration or prayer ministration. If none of these ministrations touch you, you just wasted your precious time. It is supposed to be time of refreshing in His presence. Enjoy His presence and experience the refreshing time.

Everyone will experience sorrow and trials at one point

Our first spiritual war begins when we decide to keep the commandments of God and share the testimony of Jesus Christ but there is an assured victory. St. John 16:33 NLT 

 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." 

Rev. 12:11 KJV. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Something to die for

The Apostles had two most important things to overcome the powers of darkness. These things gave them sure victory and they are willing to die for it. The two things are blood of the lamb Jesus Christ and the Message or the word of God. Rev. 12:11 KJV. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:11 NLT. And they have defeated him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of their testimony. And they were not afraid to die.

Choose you this day

Choose the routes of love for God that would lead to life and prosperity. See the reality of John 14:6 Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Choose the way of the cross that leads to eternal life with Christ in Heaven. You have to choose either the above or you choose otherwise.
