Believers and the Holy Spirit relationship

Three things believers should do with the Holy Spirit are Walk, live in the Spirit, and be led by the Spirit. Gal. 5:16, 25 & 18 respectively. To walk in the Spirit means to behave or live or go forward. By “Spirit” he means God’s Spirit. He is the one who gives believers the power to live a spiritual life in Christ. To live in the Spirit means to follow where the Spirit leads and go step by step with Him. This is the only way of victory over the sinful nature, the only way to keep it where it belongs – on a cross. To be led by the Spirit means believers are led out of religious bondage, away from the principle of self-effort for salvation. He does not lead them back into such things.
