There was a time when a believer could gather with friends over a simple malt drink and enjoy fellowship without compromise. That time has passed. Many lounges have traded wholesome company for strippers' nights — some even hosting live sex acts on stage. What was once neutral ground has become a minefield for the soul.
We are living in a decisive hour. There is no middle ground: you are either for Christ or against Him, walking in light or walking in darkness. Scripture does not leave room for neutrality here.
Yet standing in the light does not mean turning away from those still in darkness. Now, more than ever, we cannot afford to hide our light under a bushel. Our light must be set on a candlestand — visible, unashamed, drawing others out of the dark rather than retreating from it.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for calling us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Lord, in these last days when iniquity abounds and love grows cold, keep our hearts steadfast and our love for You burning bright. Give us courage to stand unashamed for Christ, and grace to walk in purity even as the world around us grows darker. Do not let us hide our light — help us hold it high, that those still walking in darkness may see Your truth and be drawn to Your salvation. Guard our hearts from compromise, strengthen our resolve, and use us as vessels of light in this generation. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen.
