The temptation to resign from the army is very high. The soldiers envy the civilians for only one thing: freedom! When things are hard, when life is lonely, when every day seems so boring, when the zeal of the first love starts to quench, when lying on a hospital bed, wounded and in pain... Then the secret desire to become a civilian once more can become an obsession for a soldier because those moments or seasons can often be really hard to bear. But the price for this lust of 'freedom' is the sin of betrayal of trust. And that is a most dangerous path to follow. All the lofty dreams to be a hero, a mentor and a savior to the next generation will disappear in the fire of guilt, regret and shame. God forbid! The soldier has to endure hardship. If you want an 'easy' life or comfort, entertainment and luxury, please do not enlist, for you shall become a traitor like Judas. The greatest pain is that as a soldier he lives far away from his wife and family. He will not enjoy seeing his children grow up. Pictures of them in the trenches... that is all he has for many years... For example, a roman soldier could not marry before retirement. Things are not so strict now but still, the soldier has to be very careful whom he marries. The rate of divorce among soldiers is one of the highest. The soldier's wife has to be strong, patient, loving, mature and faithful in his absence and that is a ministry on its own. The rewards of a soldier are few but great. The soldier is a partaker of the spoils of war when the victory is won. But by far, the most important of all rewards  is the open commendation of his Captain. These words 'well done good and faithful soldier' becomes the eternal root of satisfaction; he has done his best in this life and now finally, he can enter his rest! 

In Christ I declare: 

I am a soldier of the only army in the universe that knows no defeat! I shall be a hero, a mentor and an inspiration to many that come behind me! I shall love my Captain more than I love my family, friends, property, and even my very life! I shall hear the voice of my Captain at last: Well done good and faithful servant and soldier! Enter into the joys of your King!" I shall be patient and faithful and I shall inherit the blessed promises in Christ! From now on, let no man trouble me anymore for I carry the scars of my commitment to Christ! I fight the good fight of faith! The enemy of my soul, the enemy of this nation shall be defeated! Doubt shall be disgraced and its victims redeemed! The fake religion shall end its terror and the unrepentant false prophets shall become vagabonds! I shall enjoy the spoils of war! The nations conquered in the name of Jesus shall be my ministry field, my treasure and my crown! The shout of the King shall be heard in this land and His worship shall  increase! I believe, therefore I have spoken!

Why do some desire to be soldiers? The answer of the majority is this: a strong desire to be a hero; to live a fulfilled life, different than the ordinary one. The army provides discipline, leadership, mentorship, fellowship and an inspiration to do great things for the country. It is a place where service and sacrifice for the common good is highly rewarded. A secondary reason why people desire to become soldiers are job security and benefits. But the life of a soldier is not easy. Once he signs his name, he belongs to the army. He loses the freedom to decide where to go and what to do. He is constantly watched by the commanding officers. No more privacy! Disobedience of the laws or rebellion is punished immediately. The soldier has to go through the most difficult training given to men. He also goes to war from which no one is sure to come back alive. He has signed a covenant so he cannot resign from the army until he is released with honors. This is the truth: a soldier cannot complain about his station in life. He cannot look for a second job, like a civilian does, to earn extra money. He has pledged his life, his efforts and his time to the army. He has to be satisfied with his salary and with the reward given at last. He has to be a man of only one thing. His only desire and only job is to please his commanding officer! Any distraction is a crime! Any extra lust is poison! Any look back, a pillar of salt

In Christ I declare: 

I am a soldier of Christ! It is my destiny! I am in the army of the called, chosen, and faithful followers of the King of kings and the Lord of lords! I belong to the armies of heaven, riding on a white horse of purity and power! I have entered voluntarily and I shall stay until I see Him face to face! I shall expect hardship for I am destined to partake in them as I fight the good fight of faith! The hardship of this life will not discourage me but they will make me stronger and fruitful! The hardship of life is a sign that I am not an orphan but my Father in heaven is training me as a soldier! I shall not envy the sinners or the civilian world' for I was once in it and I have left it behind of my own free will! I shall find strength to continue the battle in the grace provided by my Lord and Captain, Jesus Christ! I destroy any secret desire in me to backslide or to resign from the army of the living God! I have peace and rest; I am welI provided for. I shall be satisfied with the benefits and rewards given to me by Christ! I shall not dream of going anywhere else for my Captain has the words of eternal life and victory!

Daily Choice of a Believer

I have the choice to make daily whether to fully lose the desire for sin because sin still attracts me. The old habits and ways of thinking will still come naturally but I will stop giving my body over to be used by sin instead I will be used by God for righteousness. I am a slave to righteousness for me to become like Christ and experience eternal life. Romans 6: 12 - 23

Jesus Christ The Supernatural Man

Joseph knew not (did not have sex with) Mary but She was overshadowed by the Holy Ghost and She became pregnant with Jesus Christ The Supernatural Man. Luke 1:35.

In His days on earth, people see Him as a natural man in particular son of a carpenter but the spirits know who He was as The Holy One of God (The Supernatural Man). Luke 4:34.

The religious group leaders of Judaism see Him as a threat to their beliefs and philosophy but He always knew their thoughts because He is a supernatural man. Matthew 12:25

He allowed them to nail Him on the cross because He knew he was dying for the whole nation because He is a supernatural man.

He died and on the third day He rose again and showed Himself to His own people because He is a supernatural man.

He lives in us, reveals in us, abides with us and shows His glory in us. He made humans who are natural become supernatural men only because they believe in Him. He is a supernatural man.

Christmas season

Today might not be the day that Christ was born but you and I have come to recognize this day as the day our Lord was born. As He was supernaturally born God will make your good supernatural glory manifest to the world. As King Herod could not stop His star from shining to be noticeable. Your star will shine and be noticeable globally. As He was given special and royal gifts. God will give you special and royalty gifts this month and throughout 2024. As angels announced His birth, glory, and purpose to show forth the glory of God. Your birth, glory, and purpose in life will show forth the glory of God. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen

Believers and the Holy Spirit relationship

Three things believers should do with the Holy Spirit are Walk, live in the Spirit, and be led by the Spirit. Gal. 5:16, 25 & 18 respectively. To walk in the Spirit means to behave or live or go forward. By “Spirit” he means God’s Spirit. He is the one who gives believers the power to live a spiritual life in Christ. To live in the Spirit means to follow where the Spirit leads and go step by step with Him. This is the only way of victory over the sinful nature, the only way to keep it where it belongs – on a cross. To be led by the Spirit means believers are led out of religious bondage, away from the principle of self-effort for salvation. He does not lead them back into such things.

THREE METHODS OF TRANSFERRING ANOINTING.(SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE)

TOPIC: TRANSFER OF ANOINTING 1,2 & 3

BIBLE READ: Numbers 27:18-23 (KJV), Acts 19:11-12 (KJV) and Acts 5:12-16 respectively.

INTRODUCTION:

Anointing, just like electricity, obeys certain natural laws.

1. By way of conduction: Transfer of anointing by conduction is when the anointed fellow has physical contact with the person who needs the anointing. This can be through a handshake or laying on of hands. For example, in Acts 3:1-8.

KEY POINT:

Never take for granted a handshake or laying on of hands by an anointed vessel of God.

2. By way of convection: Just think of how car batteries are charged. Dead batteries absorb enough power to supply electricity to your car. In the same way, an anointed man or woman can pray on a handkerchief or oil, send it to the place where the anointing is needed, and miracles would begin to happen through that medium. For example, in Acts 19:11-12.

PRAYER POINT. Father, please anoint me so powerfully that just by waving my hands, the sick would get healed.

3. By way of radiation: Radiation in this context refers to when anointing is transferred through the air without any form of physical contact. This is highest form of transferring of anointing. For example, in Acts 5:12-16. This method is mostly use in a crowded place.

Either of these three methods are led by Lord and the situation in which the anointed and the person that needs the anointing find themselves.

What is battle?

Battle means to engage in combat between individuals or armed forces.

To contend with full strength, vigor, skill, or resources.

There two kinds of battles.

Private or personal battle comes by decision, choice and your destination. Case study David 

Public or general battle comes by association. Case study Jacob.

For every battles, there are forces (powers) behind it. It is either Kingdom Powers with good intentions (Zion by Lord our God Jeremiah 5:10 &24) or Kingdom Powers with evil intentions.(Babylon by Satan and his demons)

Theme says you are my battle axe. Jeremiah 51:20 NLT

"You are my battle-ax and sword," says the Lord. "With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms.

Who is the 'you' referring to there? God is telling the people of Israel that they are His battle axe and sword.

This is what the Lord saying concerning the youth of U.M.C.A ikorodu district. You are His battle axe. Your purpose is to break in pieces every evil powers that don't want you to grow, shine and become vessels unto honor. God has stirred up the spirit of the organizer of this conference to make you understand your purpose and drive.

How can you now be the battle axe and weapon?

1. Stay away from sin. fornication and pride in particular 

2. Form a prayer chain group

3. Do evangelism

4. Do seminars, workshop and conference.

5. Be involved in welfare and warfare through prayer and giving of arms.

Why do I dress up every Sunday and go to church?

When one is a child, one does things they ask you to do without questioning your parent. As time goes on, you will begin to question some activities they ask you to do because you are an adult. The above question is part of those questions I asked myself.

Why do people dress up every Sunday to go to church?

My pastor said some go to church because of the music, prayer, the message, or because the bible says we should not forsake the assembly of believers. There might be other reasons why people go to church. Glory be to God, with my experience I have discovered why some people go to a particular church or go to church every Sunday. I will classify them in terms of mindset.

• Receivers mindset

• Givers' and receivers' mindset

• Paparazzi mindset 

• Regenerated mindset.

Receivers mindset are people who come to church with a selfish mindset. Their motive is what they can get from the pastorate and some members in terms of financial assistance and connections.

Givers and receivers mindset: The givers are the people who use their gifts, talent, skills, and profession to make things run smoothly in church. Some of them use it for the glory of God while some use it for benefit of financial assistance and connections.

Paparazzi mindset: This people's mindset is to show, and perform and they are very competitive. Some want to show their good dresses, wealth, and musical skills also their high standard of living.

Regenerated mindset: This people's mindset is to serve, worship, and obey the command of their God. These people serve their God without taking notice of whether their pastorate is watching. These people worship their God because they know that is what they are created to do on earth. These people obey the word of God that says Ephesians 2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household. 

Psalm 55:14. With whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship at the house of God, as we walked about among the worshipers.

We all have fallen into some of the above mindsets before we finally got to a regenerated mindset. I pray we God help us to be regenerated mindset worshipers. God is seeking true worshipers who will serve, worship in Spirit, and obey his commandments.

WHAT USUALLY HAPPENS EVERY SUNDAY IN ALL CHURCHES.

Do you know this scripture happens every Sunday? Luke 8: 5 – 15.

Luke 8:5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and then fowls of the air devoured it.

In every Sunday services:

➡️ The workers and Pastor in Charge are the sowers.

➡️ The activities done during the service are the seed sown.

➡️The activities are Prayer, music and word ministration.

What happened to these seeds that these people sown every Sunday services? In Luke 8:12 – 15 Jesus Christ explained it.

 The heart of the congregation are referred to the different types of ground in which the seed fell.

• Luke 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then comes the devil, and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

 The fellows just come to church for coming sake and because they don’t want to stay at home on a Sunday morning. During the service they use their phone for social media and some their minds are wandering about.

• Luke 8:13 Those on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

 These fellows are people when a season of harassment of the enemy and difficulty come to them, they whither and fall away, for they have no root in the truth and their faith is temporary.

• Luke 8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they which; when they have heard: Go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

These fellows came to church but they are much more concerned about food, clothes and shelter immediately they step out of the church they forget about the message and think about how to survive for the new week.

• Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

These fellows they hear, receive the word with joy, believe and in the time of harassment of the enemy and difficulty they use the word as a weapon of faith to overcome and produce fruit of the Spirit.

In conclusion, what type of ground are you? That is, what is the condition of your heart and mind when you at place of worship? What do you do with the word, music and prayer ministration you heard from church service?

What effect does these ministration have on you for the new week? We all are guilty of this topic in one way and other. Christ want us to hear, receive the word with joy, believe it and in the time of harassment of the enemy and difficulty we should use the word as a weapon of faith to overcome challenges and produce fruit of the Spirit.

In a nutshell Christ want our heart to be among the category of people on a good gound.

MEMORISE:

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” – (Matthew 11:12)

18. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

MESSAGE:

Some Christians are so gentle that they accommodate the devil and his agents in their lives, claiming the Bible says we should be gentle as a dove. The Bible says that it is only the violent that can take the Kingdom of God by force. The devil will do everything to ensure you don't enter that Kingdom of God; it is with violence that you will take it. If you are at peace when you should be fighting, the devil will roast you.

You must be violent when the devil is confronting you with a situation that can kill you. Any situation that can destroy your destiny or your spiritual life is not one to toy with at all.

Many years ago, I encountered a woman who was a senior official of an Examination Council in West Africa. She was married with children that were doing well. Just looking at her, everything seemed normal, but she was a habitation of demons. She came to me one day and said, "Thus saith the Lord, you are my husband". I said, "That can't be; I'm happily married, I'm a man of God, and you know I am committed to a life of holiness". She said, "You are joking, I'm going to marry you". When we couldn't handle it anymore, the matter was reported to the police and a restraining order was issued against her, to no avail. One day, I went to London on an official assignment and didn't tell anybody I was coming. Just as I entered the house where I was to stay, the phone rang and this same woman said, "Welcome, I have been waiting for you. I know where you are staying and I will be there in fifteen minutes". I told her the British police would be waiting for her at the door. Maybe because she knew there was a police station less than two minutes' walk away from the house, she did not come, but she kept on calling. Now, I knew that I had a big problem and I needed to be violent. I went on my knees and cried to God to help me. God told me, "Son, you know the meaning of whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven. You know it means that whatever you allow is allowed, whatever you forbid is forbidden". I said, "Yes Lord", then He said "It's up to you". On hearing that I said, "Okay, then this mountain must move!" and it did move. If I hadn't been violent that mountain might have killed me.

KEY POINT:

Don't handle anything that can destroy your destiny lightly

Who is a Christ Ambassador?

Definitions by versions of bible. 2 COR. 5:20a

The Passion Translation: One who carry the message of Christ to the world.

The Amplified: Christ's personal representative.

The Message & Common English Bible: One who represents Christ.

The History of Christ Ambassador

The first set of Christ Ambassadors are the 12 disciples. Followed by 70 or 72 disciples in Luke 10:1 and followed by 120 disciples in Acts 1:15. The above were Jews or Hebrews but God uses Apostle Paul for Gentile (non Jews) to become Christ Ambassador.

After you become Christ Ambassador, what next?

• You start receiving instructions from the Holy Spirit which will produce fruit of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self control. Acts 1:2 NIV & Acts 1:8 AMP. Gal. 5:22 – 23

• Responsibility and power will be giving to you during the baptism of Holy Ghost and fire which will show forth spiritual gifts. Luke 3:16. Matt. 3:12

What is spiritual gift? 1 COR. 12:1 – 11

The Amplified: Special endowments of supernatural energy.

The Message: The various ways God Spirit gets worked into lives.

Spiritual gift is power given to function. It is special abilities. “With great power comes great responsibility “ Spiderman quote.

What are spiritual gifts? 1 COR. 12:1 – 11

There are nine Spiritual gifts just as there are nine fruit of the Spirit.

• Word of wisdom

• Word of knowledge

• Discerning of spirit

• Gift of faith

• Gift of Healing

• Gift of working of Miracles

• Speaking in tongues

• Interpretation of tongues

• Gift of prophecy

These gifts can be categorized into three.

• Revelation gifts

• Power gifts

• Speaking gifts

Three facts about these gifts

• The gifts comes from God. 1 COR 12:1

• Different gifts, same Spirit 1 COR 12: 4-6

• Spiritual gifts are for helping others. 1 COR 12:7

Conclusion

The evidence of baptism of Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. The evidence of spiritual gifts show forth in your worship to God and service to humanity.

Closer Look at Each Gift

There are many ways to categorize the 9 gifts described in 1 Corinthians 12, but we will divide them up for the sake of understanding like this:

Revelation Gifts

The revelation gifts include Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, and Discerning of Spirits. These gifts reveal what is unknown or hidden in order to bring understanding or explain God’s intentions or desires.

• Word of Wisdom: Individuals with this gift have the ability to make wise decisions and to advise others similarly. This wisdom isn’t just from trial and error in their own lives but through supernatural understanding from God. They see clearly through confusing circumstances and direct themselves and others toward God’s will and direction, closely adhering to the Word of God, of course.

• Word of Knowledge: People with this gift have a deep understanding of the will and ways of God, personally and through scripture. Supernaturally, they can discern truths about spiritual matters in order to teach or direct the church. Sometimes God gives a word of knowledge about a particular situation or person in order to protect, warn, or guide.

• Discerning of Spirits: This gift is also referred to “distinguishing between spirits.” People with this gift have the ability to discern whether a situation, person, or event is good or evil, right or wrong, heavenly or demonic. This gift is important because it can help protect God’s people and lead them in the right direction.

Power Gifts

The power gifts include Faith, Gifts of Healings, and Working of Miracles. These gifts visibly demonstrate God’s power.

• Faith: This gift is different than faith unto salvation (which all believers enjoy). The gift of faith involves the supernatural ability to believe and trust God in extenuating circumstances for extraordinary results. This gift of faith often brings about incredible miracles and is closely related to the other Power Gifts.

• Gifts of Healings: God works through a person with this gift to heal and restore people’s bodies, minds, and emotions. This person has a level of faith to believe God for healing in any situation and is willing to try even non-conventional methods if God leads.

• Working of Miracles: A person with this gift can be used by God to do any type of creative miracle from using physical strength to move a car to regenerating a body part to affecting the weather. There is no limit to what God can do, and the person with this spiritual gift has the faith to believe God for anything.

Speaking Gifts

The speaking gifts include Speaking in Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues, and Prophecy. God uses these gifts to audibly communicate with us.

• Speaking in Tongues: Speaking in tongues is a gift that is a sign to unbelievers (1 Corinthians 14:22). A person with this gift will supernaturally speak in an unknown language and get the attention of everyone nearby. If this gift is used in a corporate setting, the message in tongues must be interpreted.

• Interpretation of Tongues: A person with the gift of interpreting tongues has a supernatural ability to understand and explain to others the message given in tongues. The result is that God is glorified and the church is edified.

• Prophecy: Believers with the gift of prophecy don’t necessarily tell the future as much as they build up, encourage, and redirect the church body. They help the church understand the heart and desires of God and urge the church to wholeheartedly pursue God and holiness.

The Two Princes

There are two princes in the Spiritual realm. One became Prince by obedience and the other became Prince by disobedient. One became the Prince of Peace the other became the prince of the world. Both princes have power and rules the spiritual realm. The prince of the world came to steal, kill and destroy while the prince of peace came for humanity to have life and have the life in full and abundant. Prince of Peace overcame the prince of the world. The prince of the world uses the flesh as weapon for human to disobey God while the prince of peace uses the Spirit as tool to worship and obey God. Both princess uses  weapon, one uses carnality and the other uses spirituality. The enemy of our soul is the devil. Psalms 116:8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

The Saviour of our soul is Jesus Christ our Lord and Messiah. Psalms 62:1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

Demons at work during Sunday services are modern ways the devil uses to distract us from Sunday services blessings.

If you go to Church and you are sleeping during the preaching of the word of God. Demons are at work.

If you go to church and you are pressing your phone to chat, check Facebook and other social media. Demons are at work.

If you go to church and you are busy doing other activities like gist outside the church or at the usher and technical department room. Demons are at work.

If you go to church, sit down and listen to the preaching also take some notes of the message. You never revise or review it again. Demons are at work.

If you are a minister and you don't take note of the message because it is a junior minister or ordinary worker preaching. Demons are at work.

They are servants of Christ put in charge of explaining God's secret 1 Cor. 4:1 NIV & NLT. Some have just a talent and others have many talents and they will be held responsible for the way they use their talent Matt. 25:14 - 18. There workstation is ministry that is ministers works in ministries. Ministers in ministries are not in a race of competition but they are those who compliment each other for equipping of the church. Since they are servants of Christ so therefore Christ is their Master and their center of attraction and message.

Why do you worship God?

It is good to worship God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He will do. The best reason to worship God is to worship Him for who He is. Who is God to you? 

I worship God because He is the revealers of secret.

I worship God because He is Almighty.

I worship God because He is my saviour.

Introduction to spirituality

There are two world. The spiritual and the physical. The spiritual world has the light world and the dark world. The physical world has the good and the bad moment and behavioural. Human are both spiritual and physical being. In the spiritual world, humans worship and follow either the light or dark world. In physical world humans chooses either to do good or bad by the will power we all have. The spiritual controls the physical. The spiritual world in us either light or dark makes us to worship, follow, choose to do good or bad also determines the moments and behavioural attitude.

The custodian of the light world is Jesus Christ while the custodian of the dark world is the devil. The Almighty God is owner of the world and the custodian.

What Sunday is about?

In Nigeria, we view the day Sunday has a day we go to Church and worship God. In my own family, it is a day we must wake up early go to church and prepare for service for other members coming to church. It is also a day we meet other members of the church and we interact. Some people even call it a day to rest from any activities.

I have been doing these activities from my childhood now am asking is this what the day Sunday all about?

The greatest event in human history occurred on Sunday. Jesus rose from the grave on the first day of the week, which is the New Testament term for Sunday1. “Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene” (Mark 16:9).

The Lord's Day in Christianity is generally Sunday, the principal day of communal worship. It is observed by most Christians as the weekly memorial of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is said in the canonical Gospels to have been witnessed alive from the dead early on the first day of the week.

The question now is does Sunday remind us of the resurrection of Jesus Christ?

We usually say repent of your sin but it has processes. I realized last week Sunday from Father's Bible Church lekki message that we need Holy Spirit to change and the change start with your mind then your heart and life. These scriptures back it up. Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

If you go to church and you don't catch fire (I mean get revival in your spirit) to sustain you throughout the rest of the week, you just attended your village meeting or social gathering for fun. If you go to church and you still feel trouble and depress, you just attended something that add fired pan to your fire. One of these ministrations must touch your spirit. Either word ministration or song ministration or prayer ministration. If none of these ministrations touch you, you just wasted your precious time. It is supposed to be time of refreshing in His presence. Enjoy His presence and experience the refreshing time.

Our first spiritual war begins when we decide to keep the commandments of God and share the testimony of Jesus Christ but there is an assured victory. St. John 16:33 NLT 

 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." 

Rev. 12:11 KJV. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Something to die for

The Apostles had two most important things to overcome the powers of darkness. These things gave them sure victory and they are willing to die for it. The two things are blood of the lamb Jesus Christ and the Message or the word of God. Rev. 12:11 KJV. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:11 NLT. And they have defeated him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of their testimony. And they were not afraid to die.

Choose you this day

Choose the routes of love for God that would lead to life and prosperity. See the reality of John 14:6 Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Choose the way of the cross that leads to eternal life with Christ in Heaven. You have to choose either the above or you choose otherwise. True meaning of revival.

I grew up believing what revival is not but with open heaven today I know what revival truly means. Revival is not the working of miracle; it is an increased spiritual interest or renewal of a life of holiness, in complete obedience to the word of God.

Spiritual man: When a man has a normal relationship with the Holy Spirit, he becomes a spiritual man. According to Watchman Nee. Literally, it means the inner part of human.

Spiritual food is the word of God, the Bible (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2) according to U.M.C.A devotion manual.

Spiritual warfare: Ephesians explain spiritual warfare well. It is a fight or battle that is waging war.

In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

The gospel: salvation 

The Gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:1-4), the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, is also called Good News or Good Tidings. It is the plan that God has designed to save sinful humans from eternal separation from Him. 

What is the Gospel? The Bad News

In order to fully understand how good this news really is, we must first understand the bad news.

We are all sinners. The Bible presents a clear and consistent message that all people have sinned. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory for God.” Sin means that we have missed the mark (the perfect standard) that God has set for us.

As a result of the fall in the Garden of Eden, every part of us has been corrupted by sin—our minds, emotions, flesh. We don’t seek after God.

The penalty for sin is death. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” What is a wage? It is the “money that is paid or received for work or services.” In other words, it is what you deserve, what you earn. Romans 6:23 says that death is the wage for our sin. It is what we earn. We deserve to die and live separated from God forever.

What is the Gospel? The Good News

Since there is no way we can earn our way back to God, the Bible says He came to us! This is the good news—the Gospel.

Christ died for you. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ [Jesus] died for us.” The Bible says that even though we deserve the death penalty for our sin, Jesus took the penalty. He died in our place. Three days later, Jesus rose from death, proving that sin had been conquered.

You can be saved through faith in Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

We can depend on Jesus to forgive us and give eternal life, rather than eternal death.

What is salvation?

In English Versions of the Bible the words "salvation" "save," are not technical theological terms, but denote simply "deliverance," in almost any sense the latter word can have. In systematic theology, however, "salvation" denotes the whole process by which man is delivered from all that would prevent his attaining to the highest good that God has prepared for him. Or, by a transferred sense, "salvation" denotes the actual enjoyment of that good.

Salvation is deliverance from danger or suffering. To save is to deliver or protect. The word carries the idea of victory, health, or preservation. Sometimes, the Bible uses the words saved or salvation to refer to temporal, physical deliverance, such as Paul’s deliverance from prison (Philippians 1:19).

More often, the word “salvation” concerns an eternal, spiritual deliverance. When Paul told the Philippian jailer what he must do to be saved, he was referring to the jailer’s eternal destiny (Acts 16:30-31). Jesus equated being saved with entering the kingdom of God (Matthew 19:24-25).

1.1. What are we saved from? In the Christian doctrine of salvation, we are saved from “wrath,” that is, from God’s judgment of sin (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9). Our sin has separated us from God, and the consequence of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Biblical salvation refers to our 

deliverance from the consequence of sin and therefore involves the removal of sin.

1.2. Who does the saving? Only God can remove sin and deliver us from sin’s penalty (2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5).

1.3. How does God save? In the Christian doctrine of salvation, God has rescued us through Christ (John 3:17). Specifically, it was Jesus’ death on the cross and subsequent resurrection that achieved our salvation (Romans 5:10; Ephesians 1:7). Scripture is clear that salvation is the gracious, undeserved gift of God (Ephesians 2:5, 8) and is only available through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

1.4. How do we receive salvation? We are saved by faith. First, we must hear the gospel—the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13). Then, we must believe—fully trust the Lord Jesus (Romans 1:16). This involves repentance, a changing of mind about sin and Christ (Acts 3:19), and calling on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:9-10, 13).

A definition of the Christian doctrine of salvation would be “The deliverance, by the grace of God, from eternal punishment for sin which is granted to those who accept by faith God’s conditions of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus.” Salvation is available in Jesus alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:12) and is dependent on God alone for provision, assurance, and security.

Understanding Basic Concept of Christianity Faith.

I have up to 40 concept I want to share. Some of these concepts we may or may not have full knowledge of it. Let's share knowledge of word of God together.

What is the definition of sin?

Sin is described in the Bible as transgression of the law of God (1 John 3:4) and rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7; Joshua 1:18). Sin had its beginning with Lucifer, probably the most beautiful and powerful of the angels. Not content with his position, he desired to be higher than God, and that was his downfall, the beginning of sin (Isaiah 14:12-15). Renamed Satan, he brought sin to the human race in the Garden of Eden, where he tempted Adam and Eve with the same enticement, “you shall be like God.” Genesis 3 describes Adam and Eve’s rebellion against God and against His command. Since that time, sin has been passed down through all the generations of mankind and we, Adam’s descendants, have inherited sin from him. Romans 5:12 tells us that through Adam sin entered the world, and so death was passed on to all men because “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

Through Adam, the inherent inclination to sin entered the human race, and human beings became sinners by nature. When Adam sinned, his inner nature was transformed by his sin of rebellion, bringing to him spiritual death and depravity which would be passed on to all who came after him. We are sinners not because we sin; rather, we sin because we are sinners. This passed-on depravity is known as inherited sin. Just as we inherit physical characteristics from our parents, we inherit our sinful natures from Adam. King David lamented this condition of fallen human nature in Psalm 51:5: “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

Another type of sin is known as imputed sin. Used in both financial and legal settings, the Greek word translated “imputed” means “to take something that belongs to someone and credit it to another’s account.” Before the Law of Moses was given, sin was not imputed to man, although men were still sinners because of inherited sin. After the Law was given, sins committed in violation of the Law were imputed (accounted) to them (Romans 5:13). Even before transgressions of the law were imputed to men, the ultimate penalty for sin (death) continued to reign (Romans 5:14). All humans, from Adam to Moses, were subject to death, not because of their sinful acts against the Mosaic Law (which they did not have), but because of their own inherited sinful nature. After Moses, humans were subject to death both because of inherited sin from Adam and imputed sin from violating the laws of God.

God used the principle of imputation to benefit mankind 

when He imputed the sin of believers to the account of Jesus Christ, who paid the penalty for that sin—death—on the cross. Imputing our sin to Jesus, God treated Him as if He were a sinner, though He was not, and had Him die for the sins of the entire world (1 John 2:2). It is important to understand that sin was imputed to Him, but He did not inherit it from Adam. He bore the penalty for sin, but He never became a sinner. His pure and perfect nature was untouched by sin. He was treated as though He were guilty of all the sins ever committed by the human race, even though He committed none. In exchange, God imputed the righteousness of Christ to believers and credited our accounts with His righteousness, just as He had credited our sins to Christ’s account (2 Corinthians 5:21).

A third type of sin is personal sin, that which is committed every day by every human being. Because we have inherited a sin nature from Adam, we commit individual, personal sins, everything from seemingly innocent untruths to murder. Those who have not placed their faith in Jesus Christ must pay the penalty for these personal sins, as well as inherited and imputed sin. However, believers have been freed from the eternal penalty of sin—hell and spiritual death—but now we also have the power to resist sinning. Now we can choose whether or not to commit personal sins because we have the power to resist sin through the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, sanctifying and convicting us of our sins when we do commit them (Romans 8:9-11). Once we confess our personal sins to God and ask forgiveness for them, we are restored to perfect fellowship and communion with Him. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to 

forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

We are all three times condemned due to inherited sin, imputed sin, and personal sin. The only just penalty for this sin is death (Romans 6:23), not just physical death but eternal death (Revelation 20:11-15). Thankfully, inherited sin, imputed sin, and personal sin have all been crucified on the cross of Jesus, and now by faith in Jesus Christ as the Savior “we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7).

Isaiah 9:2 explained our position 

1. We were all in darkness.

2. We were all in regions and shadow of death.

8.1. How can I overcome sin?

The Bible presents several different resources to aid us in 

our effort to overcome sin. In this lifetime, we will never be perfectly victorious over sin (1 John 1:8), but that should still be our goal. With God’s help, and by following the principles of His Word, we can progressively overcome sin and become more and more like Christ.

The first resource the Bible mentions in our effort to overcome sin is the Holy Spirit. God has given us the Holy Spirit so we can be victorious in Christian living. God contrasts the deeds of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:16-25. In that passage we are called upon to walk in the Spirit. All believers already possess the Holy Spirit, but this passage tells us that we need to walk in the Spirit, yielding to His control. This means choosing to consistently follow the Holy Spirit’s prompting in our lives rather than following the flesh.

The difference the Holy Spirit can make is demonstrated in the life of Peter, who, before being filled with the Holy Spirit, denied Jesus three times—and this after he had said he would follow Christ to the death. After being filled with the Spirit, he spoke openly and strongly to the Jews at Pentecost.

We walk in the Spirit as we try not to quench the Spirit’s promptings (as spoken of in 1 Thessalonians 5:19) and seek instead to be filled with the Spirit—that is, to be fully under the Spirit’s control (Ephesians 5:18–21). How is one filled with the Holy Spirit? If sin is what grieves the Spirit and hinders His filling, then obedience to God is how the filling of the Spirit is maintained. We should pray that we be filled with the Spirit, immerse ourselves in God’s Word (Colossians 3:16), and walk in obedience to God’s commands. This gives the Spirit freedom to work within our thoughts and actions.

The Word of God, the Bible, says that God has given us His Word to equip us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It 

teaches us how to live and what to believe, it reveals to us when we have chosen wrong paths, it helps us get back on the right path, and it helps us to stay on that path. Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word of God is living and powerful, able to penetrate to our hearts to root out and overcome the deepest sins of heart and attitude. The psalmist talks about its life-changing power in-depth in Psalm 119. Joshua was told that the key to success in overcoming his enemies was not to forget this resource but instead to meditate on it day and night and obey it. This he did, even when what God commanded did not make sense militarily, and this was the key to his victory in his battles for the Promised Land. The Bible is a resource that we too often treat lightly. We give token service to it by carrying our Bibles to church or reading a daily devotional or a chapter a day, but we fail to memorize it, meditate on it, or apply it to our lives; we fail to confess the sins it reveals or praise God for the gifts it reveals to us. When it comes to the Bible, we are often either anorexic or bulimic. We either take in just enough to keep us alive spiritually by eating from the Word (but never ingesting enough to be healthy, thriving Christians), or we come to feed often but never meditate on it long enough to get spiritual nutrition from it. It is important, if you have not made a habit of daily studying and memorizing God’s Word, that you begin to do so. Some find it helpful start a journal. Make it a habit not to leave the Word until you have written down something you have gained from it. Some record prayers to God, asking Him to help them change in the areas that He has spoken to them about. The Bible is the tool the Spirit uses in our lives (Ephesians 6:17), an essential and major part of the armor that God gives us to fight our spiritual battles (Ephesians 

6:12-18). A third crucial resource in our battle against sin is prayer. Again, it is a resource that Christians often give lip service to but make poor use of. We have prayer meetings, times of prayer, etc., but we do not use prayer in the same way as the early church (Acts 3:1; 4:31; 6:4; 13:1-3). Paul repeatedly mentions how he prayed for those he ministered to. God has given us wonderful promises concerning prayer (Matthew 7:7-11; Luke 18:1-8; John 6:23-27; 1 John 5:14-15), and Paul includes prayer in his passage on preparing for spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:18). How important is prayer to overcoming sin in our lives? We have Christ’s words to Peter in the Garden of Gethsemane, just before Peter’s denial. As Jesus prays, Peter is sleeping. Jesus wakes him and says, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak” (Matthew 26:41). We, like Peter, want to do what is right but are not finding the strength. We need to follow God’s admonition to keep seeking, keep knocking, keep asking—and He will give us the strength that we need (Matthew 7:7). Prayer is not a magic formula. Prayer is simply acknowledging our own limitations and God’s inexhaustible power and turning to Him for that strength to do what He wants us to do, not what we want to do (1 John 5:14-15).

A fourth resource in our war to conquer sin is the church, the fellowship of other believers. When Jesus sent His disciples out, He sent them out two-by-two (Mark 6:7). The missionaries in Acts did not go out one at a time, but in groups of two or more. The Bible commands us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together but to use that time for encouraging one another in love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). It tells us to confess our faults to one another (James 5:16). In the wisdom literature of the Old 

Testament, we are told that as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). There is strength in numbers (Ecclesiastes 4:11-12). Many Christians find that having an accountability partner can be a huge benefit in overcoming stubborn sins. Having another person who can talk with you, pray with you, encourage you, and even rebuke you is of great value. Temptation is common to us all (1 Corinthians 10:13). Having an accountability partner or an accountability group can give us the final dose of encouragement and motivation we need to overcome even the most stubborn of sins. Sometimes victory over sin comes quickly. Other times, victory comes more slowly. God has promised that as we make use of His resources, He will progressively bring about change in our lives. We can persevere in our efforts to overcome sin because we know that He is faithful to His promises.

How long can infatuation last?
An infatuation lasts between 6 months and a year. It could turn into a more serious relationship if it lasts beyond that. But people do realise even after a year that they are infatuated and it is not love.

What is the difference between infatuation and love?
There is a very big difference between infatuation and being in love. Infatuation is when you first see someone that you are attracted to and immediately feel there is a connection based on that whereas love is knowing the good and bad of someone and still loving them all the same.

What does the Bible say about infatuation?

Infatuation is an intense feeling of attraction for someone or something. Often mistaken for love, infatuation can feel like the real thing but usually lasts only a short time. Infatuation is emotional and highly self-centered. When we are infatuated, we have that “over the moon” euphoria that makes everything seem happier. However, infatuation cares little about the needs or long-term best interests of its object; it only wants the feeling to continue. Infatuation can lead to long-term love but by itself is not enough to sustain a relationship. Does the Bible say anything about infatuation?

The book of Judges gives us an example of a Bible character who experienced infatuation. Samson had been chosen before birth to lead God’s people. But, like many in whom God has placed great potential, Samson got full of himself. He thought he should have whatever he wanted, and when he became infatuated with a girl who was not on the approved list, he demanded that his father get her for him (Judges 14:1–2). This was infatuation, not love; the Bible says, “He . . . saw a young Philistine woman,” and immediately wanted to marry her. He did not know this woman. He had not taken time to court her, introduce her to family and friends, or seek God’s approval. He simply saw her, and infatuation took over. During the course of his pursuit of this woman, he openly defied God’s command against touching dead things (verses 8–9; cf. Numbers 6:1–8) and consorting with the Philistines, God’s enemies (Deuteronomy 7:3). But infatuation doesn’t play by the rules.

Another tragic example of ungodly infatuation is found in the story of David’s family. King David’s son Amnon became infatuated with his beautiful half-sister, Tamar (2 Samuel 13:1–2). Amnon almost made himself sick with longing for her and found a way to lure her into his bedroom under false pretenses (verses 5–6). When Tamar came, thinking she was to prepare food for her sick brother, he raped her (verse 14). The next verse gives us a lot of insight into the difference between infatuation and love. Verse 15 says that “Amnon hated her with intense hatred. In fact, he hated her more than he had loved her.” True love does not behave that way. It was never love that Amnon felt; it was infatuation fueled by sexual lust.

When we compare infatuation with love, we begin to see the differences:

– Infatuation is driven by emotion; love is driven by commitment.
– Infatuation cannot wait to be satisfied; love waits for God’s timing.
– Infatuation cares mostly about self-satisfaction; love cares mostly about the other person’s best interest.
– Infatuation spawns a host of other sins, such as lust, discontent, and covetousness; love spawns a host of godly qualities such as peace, joy, faithfulness, kindness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22).
– Infatuation demands; love gives.
– Infatuation acts foolishly, not caring about anything except its object; love keeps a level head.
– Infatuation can end rather abruptly; love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).

Spiritually, people can become infatuated with the gospel. Jesus talked about this kind of “convert” in His parable about the four types of soil (Luke 8:4–8, 11–15). Many people flocked to hear Jesus. They loved the free food, the miracles, and the kind words. They were infatuated with this radical new rabbi from Nazareth. But Jesus knew they didn’t really love Him; they only loved what He could do for them (John 2:25; Matthew 10:37–39; Luke 9:57–62). That’s infatuation. Today, some think they want to become Christians because of the rush of adrenaline they felt during a worship song or because they are desperate to get rid of guilt. But they have no root (Mark 4:17), they are unwilling to take up their cross (Luke 9:23), and they don’t last long.

Although infatuation is an exhilarating feeling, we must be careful not to base decisions affecting our future upon its fleeting nature. Many people marry because they are infatuated, only to later discover they don’t really know the person they committed their lives to. Infatuation is a spark that can ignite true love and commitment, but, unless that spark is fueled with solid conversation, quality time, and a healthy dose of realism, it never becomes a flame. Infatuation can introduce us to true love, but it can never be an adequate substitute.

Because we are Christians, our relationship should move from infatuation to cherishing.

The Topic Before Us is: LIFESTYLE AND CHRISTIANIT

The word "christian" which is the root word from which Christianity is derived is mentioned three times in the bible - 1Pet 4:26, Acts 26:28 and Acts 11:25-26.

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Acts 11:25-26).

Please note, " disciples were called Christians...

They did not call themselves so.

Some people saw them, observed them and concluded "these were Christian's"

The above event happened

44–46 AD.. Before now,  I mean from the day of Pentecost believers were never called Christians.

Disciples were called Christians because of the way they were  perceived in relation to the lifestyle of Christ.

Now, let's define lifestyle.

Simply put, lifestyle is the way a person lives.

A Christian is a follower of Christ.

Our concern in this teaching is a Christian lifestyle. Lifestyle as it is related to Christianity.

What is a Christian lifestyle?

What is the way a christian should live?

What is the life we live in Christ as believers?

There is a general lifestyle that is morrally acceptable by society but the life style of a Christian is super higher than this:

Luke 6:32-35  "For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil".

This is a clear difference between a societal life style and Christian lifestyle.

Christian LIFESTYLE.

(1.) A lifestyle of faith:Romans 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3:11  But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

(2.) Lifestyle of the Spirit. Galatians 5:16, 18, 25  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

There is living in the spirit. There is walking in the spirit. Those who are born again are alive in the spirit. That is, living in the spirit.

This is automatic for all who are born again. But walk-in the spirit is a deliberate, conscious relational intetraction with the Holy Spirit. Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and direct our words, actions and conduct. The reason we commit errors, fall and make mistake is because many of us are not conscious of the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We must consciously allow Him to lead and direct us. There are things we must do daily that will help us to achieve this. 

(3.) A lifestyle of Love: Matthew 22:37-40  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Morals, good habits, right attitude etc are all products of the aforementioned. A lifestyle of faith, of the Spirit and of love. Obeying God's commandments must be done in the spirit.
