"When the Godless Party and the Praying Ones Wait: The Truth About Ease vs. Endurance"

Many people carry this question quietly in their hearts:

Why do some people seem to enjoy life easily without praying, while others pray consistently and still struggle?

If you’ve ever wrestled with this thought, you’re not weak in faith. You’re human. And pretending this question doesn’t exist has hurt more people than addressing it with truth and compassion.

First, we must understand this: prayer was never designed as a transaction where effort automatically produces instant results. Prayer is alignment, not a bargaining system. It does not override principles, responsibility, wisdom, timing, seasons, or growth.

Some people appear to enjoy life without praying, not necessarily because they don’t need God, but because they are benefiting from systems, opportunities, preparation, relationships, or seeds that were planted long before now. Sometimes they are enjoying a season of ease that is temporary. Ease is not always proof of divine approval, just as struggle is not proof of divine absence.

There are people who look fine outwardly but are empty inwardly. There are people who are peaceful today but unprepared for tomorrow. There are also people who are enjoying today what will demand payment later. Life is longer than a moment, and not every reality reveals itself immediately.

On the other hand, some people pray deeply and still experience delay, pressure, or struggle — not because God is deaf, wicked, or unfair, but because God often works beneath the surface before He works on the surface. Some prayers take time because God is not just giving answers; He is forming maturity, building capacity, correcting foundations, shaping character, and protecting destiny.

Not every delay is rejection.

Not every waiting season is punishment.

Not every struggle means prayer has failed.

Prayer does not cancel life’s process; it gives meaning, direction, restraint, wisdom, and preservation through the process. Sometimes the greatest answers to prayer come first as strength to endure, clarity to grow, discipline to mature, and discernment to avoid traps — long before visible results appear.

Comparison is one of the quickest ways to poison faith. You never see the full picture of another person’s life. You don’t know what they’re fighting privately, what they’re avoiding temporarily, or what your own prayers are quietly preventing. Some prayers answer you by blocking things you don’t even know would have destroyed you.

Waiting does not mean wasted. Silence does not mean abandonment. And struggle does not mean God is absent. Many times, God is doing His deepest work in the seasons that feel the quietest.

If you are praying and waiting, don’t give up. Your journey is not delayed — it is being prepared. Some results arrive later, but they arrive stronger, safer, and more sustainable.

Keep praying.

Keep growing.

Keep learning.

Keep becoming.

The Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God spoken under anointing represents the Divine Judgment. It is a symbol of God's power and authority. The following are some examples in the Bible of how God executes judgment on the wicked with His mighty Sword.

Queen Athaliah ruled the land for six years. She was the daughter of Jezebel. Like mother, like daughter, both were wicked, criminal women. When she discovered that her son was dead, she went ahead to destroy all the royal seed. She then crowned herself as queen. She did not know that the youngest of her son's children was still alive, hidden in the temple. This is how Joash survived. He was just seven years old when the high priest brought him out from hiding and crowned him as king. The high priest commanded the soldiers to take their swords and surround the boy king: "Station yourselves around the king, each of you with weapon in hand. Anyone who approaches your ranks is to be put to death. Stay close to the king wherever he goes" (2Kg 11:8). Athaliah came to fight and claim her throne and she was killed with the sword instantly.

Gideon went to war saying: "The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!" That prophetic proclamation was enough to create confusion in the midst of the enemies and they destroyed one another. David knocked down Goliath with a stone but perfected its defeat with the sword. The sword passed through Mary's heart. The pain was the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, the revelation of the thoughts of people's hearts. Jesus is our High Priest and His Word is a double edged sword in His mouth. None can defeat it! The sword of the enemy is slander, wicked words and false witnesses. But the sword of the Lord in our mouth destroys their lesser swords, for God's judgment on evil is always true and just!

In Christ I declare:

I am a soldier of Christ! I belong to the army that knows no defeat! I preach the Word of God with anointing and power of the Holy Spirit! This is my sword and it shall accomplish the purpose of why it was given to me!

My Conscience Won't Allow Me To Rest.

 

"Conscience”– this is a word Paul used altogether 23 times in his speeches and letters recorded in the New Testament. It is used only nine times in other parts of the New Testament. Some important references are Rom 2:15; 1 Tim 1:5, 19; 3:9; 4:2; 2 Tim 1:3; Titus 1:15; Heb 9:9, 14; 10:22; 1 Pet 3:16.

Conscience is an inner faculty which judges what is right and wrong. It is an inner voice which can speak in alarm when an individual does something contrary to its judgments, or be calm and clear when it judges behavior to be correct. Paul insisted on the importance of having a “good” conscience (1 Tim 1:19). In Acts 24:16 and 2 Cor 1:12 he gives one of the principles he always followed.

Even when he was persecuting the church he maintained a good conscience (Acts 26:9; Phil 3:6). He thought that what he was doing was right (Acts 26:9. Compare John 16:2).

This shows that conscience is not infallible and can make serious errors. It needs to be instructed by the Word of God. See also the note at Heb 9:14. If a conscience is defiled with sin and conscious of guilt, it needs to be “cleansed”. That is, it must be satisfied that sin and guilt have been taken away, that there is no longer any reason for God’s judgment and punishment to come.

This is what the blood of Christ does. Our knowledge of the sacrifice of Christ, our faith that His blood was shed to take away our sins, satisfies our conscience. The blood of Christ does not cleanse us from the knowledge that we are sinners (1 John 1:8; 1 Tim 1:15), but assures us that God’s anger is removed from us. God uses the truth about Christ’s sacrifice in our minds to instruct our consciences and so cleanse them. Compare Acts 15:9.

An awakened conscience that accuses and rages against us is a very painful thing. How can it find peace and rest? Only in Christ’s sacrifice. When this happens we can freely and gladly “serve the living God”.

Four Important Things Associated with the Gospel

Four important things are associated with the gospel – Christ’s death, His burial, His rising from the dead, and His appearances to His disciples. Christ’s death was “for our sins” – Matt 26:28; John 1:29; Rom 3:24-25; 4:25; 2 Cor 5:21; Gal 1:4; Heb 1:3; 9:28; 10:12; 1 Pet 2:24; 3:18; Rev 1:5. Anyone who denies that Christ really died is denying the one sacrifice for sins God has provided for mankind, and rejects the one way God has appointed for men to be saved from their sins. Christ’s burial was also of great importance. It was the final and needed proof that He was dead (Matt 27:57-66; Mark 15:42-46; John 19:38-40). Christ’s resurrection (His spirit entering again His dead body and making it alive again and enabling it to leave the tomb) is also of the utmost importance (vs 13,14,17,18; Rom 4:25; Matt 28:6).

Both the death and resurrection of Christ were “according to the Scriptures” (the Old Testament). See Matt 5:17; Luke 24:25-27,45,46. Christ’s appearances to His disciples were also of “first importance”. They were the proof that He had risen from the dead. Paul does not list all of His appearances. On Christ’s appearances after His resurrection see note at Matt 28:6.

Here’s a very brief summary of the six core things Christ accomplished in his death.

1. Expiation

Expiation means the removal of our sin and guilt. Christ’s death removes — expiates — our sin and guilt. The guilt of our sin was taken away from us and placed on Christ, who discharged it by his death.

Thus, in John 1:29, John the Baptist calls Jesus “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” Jesus takes away, that is, expiates, our sins. Likewise, Isaiah 53:6 says, “The Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on him,” and Hebrews 9:26 says “He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”

2. Propitiation

Whereas expiation refers to the removal of our sins, propitiation refers to the removal of God’s wrath.

By dying in our place for our sins, Christ removed the wrath of God that we justly deserved. In fact, it goes even further: a propitiation is not simply a sacrifice that removes wrath, but a sacrifice that removes wrath and turns it into favor. (Note: a propitiation does not turn wrath into love — God already loved us fully, which is the reason he sent Christ to die; it turns his wrath into favor so that his love may realize its purpose of doing good to us every day, in all things, forever, without sacrificing his justice and holiness.)

Several passages speak of Christ’s death as a propitiation for our sins. Romans 3:25-26 says that God “displayed [Christ] publicly as a propitiation in his blood through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because in the forbearance of God he passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration of his righteousness at the present time, that he might be just and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.”

Likewise, Hebrews 2:17 says that Christ made “propitiation for the sins of the people” and 1 John 4:10 says “in this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

3. Reconciliation

Whereas expiation refers to the removal of our sins, and propitiation refers to the removal of God’s wrath, reconciliation refers to the removal of our alienation from God.

Because of our sins, we were alienated — separated — from God. Christ’s death removed this alienation and thus reconciled us to God. We see this, for example, in Romans 5:10-11: “For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.”

4. Redemption

Our sins had put us in captivity from which we need to be delivered. The price that is paid to deliver someone from captivity is called a “ransom.” To say that Christ’s death accomplished redemption for us means that it accomplished deliverance from our captivity through the payment of a price.

There are three things we had to be released from: the curse of the law, the guilt of sin, and the power of sin. Christ redeemed us from each of these.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13-14).

Christ redeemed us from the guilt of our sin. We are “justified as a gift by his grace, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24).

Christ redeemed us from the power of sin: “knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:18-19).

Note that we are not simply redeemed from the guilt of sin; to be redeemed from the power of sin means that our slavery to sin is broken. We are now free to live to righteousness. Our redemption from the power of sin is thus the basis of our ability to live holy lives: “You have been bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your bodies” (1 Corinthians 6:20).

5. Defeat of the Powers of Darkness

Christ’s death was a defeat of the power of Satan. “He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him” (Colossians 3:15). Satan’s only weapon that can ultimately hurt people is unforgiven sin. Christ took this weapon away from him for all who would believe, defeating him and all the powers of darkness in his death by, as the verse right before this says, “having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:13-14).

6. And he Did All of This By Dying As Our Substitute

The reality of substitution is at the heart of the atonement. Christ accomplished all of the above benefits for us by dying in our place — that is, by dying instead of us. We deserved to die, and he took our sin upon him and paid the penalty himself.

This is what it means that Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) and gave himself for us (Galatians 2:20). As Isaiah says, “he was pierced through for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities . . . the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on him” (Isaiah 53:5-6).

You see the reality of substitution underlying all of the benefits discussed above, as the means by which Christ accomplished them. For example, substitution is the means by which we were ransomed: “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). Christ’s death was a ransom for us — that is, instead of us. Likewise, Paul writes that “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13).

Substitution is the means by which we were reconciled: “For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that he might bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18). It is the means of expiation: “He made him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21) and “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness” (1 Peter 2:24). And by dying in our place, taking the penalty for our sins upon himself, Christ’s death is also the means of propitiation.

To close: Two implications. First, this is very humbling.

Second, “Greater love has no one than this, than he lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).

Your primary aim is to preach the gospel of peace and not to argue about any religious matter. You don't have to know every Bible verse before you evangelize, but you need to know the meaning of the gospel yourself.

The gospel of Christ is the message of good news offered to all men through faith in Christ.

2. DON’T allow the conversation to wander from topic to topic. Your primary aim is to win souls for Christ and establish them at Ogijo Church.

1. DO remain calm.
2. DO trust that God can work in your inadequacies, because that is all we have to offer.
3. DO act with kindness.
4. DO build on the faith or goodness the person shows you.
5. DO invite them to join you at activities outside of church."

The temptation to resign from the army is very high. The soldiers envy the civilians for only one thing: freedom! When things are hard, when life is lonely, when every day seems so boring, when the zeal of the first love starts to quench, when lying on a hospital bed, wounded and in pain... Then the secret desire to become a civilian once more can become an obsession for a soldier because those moments or seasons can often be really hard to bear. But the price for this lust of 'freedom' is the sin of betrayal of trust. And that is a most dangerous path to follow. All the lofty dreams to be a hero, a mentor and a savior to the next generation will disappear in the fire of guilt, regret and shame. God forbid! The soldier has to endure hardship. If you want an 'easy' life or comfort, entertainment and luxury, please do not enlist, for you shall become a traitor like Judas. The greatest pain is that as a soldier he lives far away from his wife and family. He will not enjoy seeing his children grow up. Pictures of them in the trenches... that is all he has for many years... For example, a roman soldier could not marry before retirement. Things are not so strict now but still, the soldier has to be very careful whom he marries. The rate of divorce among soldiers is one of the highest. The soldier's wife has to be strong, patient, loving, mature and faithful in his absence and that is a ministry on its own. The rewards of a soldier are few but great. The soldier is a partaker of the spoils of war when the victory is won. But by far, the most important of all rewards  is the open commendation of his Captain. These words 'well done good and faithful soldier' becomes the eternal root of satisfaction; he has done his best in this life and now finally, he can enter his rest! 

In Christ I declare: 

I am a soldier of the only army in the universe that knows no defeat! I shall be a hero, a mentor and an inspiration to many that come behind me! I shall love my Captain more than I love my family, friends, property, and even my very life! I shall hear the voice of my Captain at last: Well done good and faithful servant and soldier! Enter into the joys of your King!" I shall be patient and faithful and I shall inherit the blessed promises in Christ! From now on, let no man trouble me anymore for I carry the scars of my commitment to Christ! I fight the good fight of faith! The enemy of my soul, the enemy of this nation shall be defeated! Doubt shall be disgraced and its victims redeemed! The fake religion shall end its terror and the unrepentant false prophets shall become vagabonds! I shall enjoy the spoils of war! The nations conquered in the name of Jesus shall be my ministry field, my treasure and my crown! The shout of the King shall be heard in this land and His worship shall  increase! I believe, therefore I have spoken!

You then, my son be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus! Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus! No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs -he wants to please his commanding officer.

-2 Timothy 2: 1 -4

Why do some desire to be soldiers? The answer of the majority is this: a strong desire to be a hero; to live a fulfilled life, different than the ordinary one. The army provides discipline, leadership, mentorship, fellowship and an inspiration to do great things for the country. It is a place where service and sacrifice for the common good is highly rewarded. A secondary reason why people desire to become soldiers are job security and benefits. But the life of a soldier is not easy. Once he signs his name, he belongs to the army. He loses the freedom to decide where to go and what to do. He is constantly watched by the commanding officers. No more privacy! Disobedience of the laws or rebellion is punished immediately. The soldier has to go through the most difficult training given to men. He also goes to war from which no one is sure to come back alive. He has signed a covenant so he cannot resign from the army until he is released with honors. This is the truth: a soldier cannot complain about his station in life. He cannot look for a second job, like a civilian does, to earn extra money. He has pledged his life, his efforts and his time to the army. He has to be satisfied with his salary and with the reward given at last. He has to be a man of only one thing. His only desire and only job is to please his commanding officer! Any distraction is a crime! Any extra lust is poison! Any look back, a pillar of salt

In Christ I declare: 

I am a soldier of Christ! It is my destiny! I am in the army of the called, chosen, and faithful followers of the King of kings and the Lord of lords! I belong to the armies of heaven, riding on a white horse of purity and power! I have entered voluntarily and I shall stay until I see Him face to face! I shall expect hardship for I am destined to partake in them as I fight the good fight of faith! The hardship of this life will not discourage me but they will make me stronger and fruitful! The hardship of life is a sign that I am not an orphan but my Father in heaven is training me as a soldier! I shall not envy the sinners or the civilian world' for I was once in it and I have left it behind of my own free will! I shall find strength to continue the battle in the grace provided by my Lord and Captain, Jesus Christ! I destroy any secret desire in me to backslide or to resign from the army of the living God! I have peace and rest; I am welI provided for. I shall be satisfied with the benefits and rewards given to me by Christ! I shall not dream of going anywhere else for my Captain has the words of eternal life and victory!

Daily Choice of a Believer

I have the choice to make daily whether to fully lose the desire for sin because sin still attracts me. The old habits and ways of thinking will still come naturally but I will stop giving my body over to be used by sin instead I will be used by God for righteousness. I am a slave to righteousness for me to become like Christ and experience eternal life. Romans 6: 12 - 23

Jesus Christ The Supernatural Man

Joseph knew not (did not have sex with) Mary but She was overshadowed by the Holy Ghost and She became pregnant with Jesus Christ The Supernatural Man. Luke 1:35.

In His days on earth, people see Him as a natural man in particular son of a carpenter but the spirits know who He was as The Holy One of God (The Supernatural Man). Luke 4:34.

The religious group leaders of Judaism see Him as a threat to their beliefs and philosophy but He always knew their thoughts because He is a supernatural man. Matthew 12:25

He allowed them to nail Him on the cross because He knew he was dying for the whole nation because He is a supernatural man.

He died and on the third day He rose again and showed Himself to His own people because He is a supernatural man.

He lives in us, reveals in us, abides with us and shows His glory in us. He made humans who are natural become supernatural men only because they believe in Him. He is a supernatural man.

Christmas season

Today might not be the day that Christ was born but you and I have come to recognize this day as the day our Lord was born. As He was supernaturally born God will make your good supernatural glory manifest to the world. As King Herod could not stop His star from shining to be noticeable. Your star will shine and be noticeable globally. As He was given special and royal gifts. God will give you special and royalty gifts this month and throughout 2024. As angels announced His birth, glory, and purpose to show forth the glory of God. Your birth, glory, and purpose in life will show forth the glory of God. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen

Believers and the Holy Spirit relationship

Three things believers should do with the Holy Spirit are Walk, live in the Spirit, and be led by the Spirit. Gal. 5:16, 25 & 18 respectively. To walk in the Spirit means to behave or live or go forward. By “Spirit” he means God’s Spirit. He is the one who gives believers the power to live a spiritual life in Christ. To live in the Spirit means to follow where the Spirit leads and go step by step with Him. This is the only way of victory over the sinful nature, the only way to keep it where it belongs – on a cross. To be led by the Spirit means believers are led out of religious bondage, away from the principle of self-effort for salvation. He does not lead them back into such things.

THREE METHODS OF TRANSFERRING ANOINTING.(SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE)

TOPIC: TRANSFER OF ANOINTING 1,2 & 3

BIBLE READ: Numbers 27:18-23 (KJV), Acts 19:11-12 (KJV) and Acts 5:12-16 respectively.

INTRODUCTION:

Anointing, just like electricity, obeys certain natural laws.

1. By way of conduction: Transfer of anointing by conduction is when the anointed fellow has physical contact with the person who needs the anointing. This can be through a handshake or laying on of hands. For example, in Acts 3:1-8.

KEY POINT:

Never take for granted a handshake or laying on of hands by an anointed vessel of God.

2. By way of convection: Just think of how car batteries are charged. Dead batteries absorb enough power to supply electricity to your car. In the same way, an anointed man or woman can pray on a handkerchief or oil, send it to the place where the anointing is needed, and miracles would begin to happen through that medium. For example, in Acts 19:11-12.

PRAYER POINT. Father, please anoint me so powerfully that just by waving my hands, the sick would get healed.

3. By way of radiation: Radiation in this context refers to when anointing is transferred through the air without any form of physical contact. This is highest form of transferring of anointing. For example, in Acts 5:12-16. This method is mostly use in a crowded place.

Either of these three methods are led by Lord and the situation in which the anointed and the person that needs the anointing find themselves.

What is battle?

Battle means to engage in combat between individuals or armed forces.

To contend with full strength, vigor, skill, or resources.

There two kinds of battles.

Private or personal battle comes by decision, choice and your destination. Case study David 

Public or general battle comes by association. Case study Jacob.

For every battles, there are forces (powers) behind it. It is either Kingdom Powers with good intentions (Zion by Lord our God Jeremiah 5:10 &24) or Kingdom Powers with evil intentions.(Babylon by Satan and his demons)

"You are my battle-ax and sword," says the Lord. "With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms.

Who is the 'you' referring to there? God is telling the people of Israel that they are His battle axe and sword.

This is what the Lord saying concerning the youth of U.M.C.A ikorodu district. You are His battle axe. Your purpose is to break in pieces every evil powers that don't want you to grow, shine and become vessels unto honor. God has stirred up the spirit of the organizer of this conference to make you understand your purpose and drive.

How can you now be the battle axe and weapon?

1. Stay away from sin. fornication and pride in particular 

2. Form a prayer chain group

3. Do evangelism

4. Do seminars, workshop and conference.

5. Be involved in welfare and warfare through prayer and giving of arms.

Why do I dress up every Sunday and go to church?

When one is a child, one does things they ask you to do without questioning your parent. As time goes on, you will begin to question some activities they ask you to do because you are an adult. The above question is part of those questions I asked myself.

Why do people dress up every Sunday to go to church?

My pastor said some go to church because of the music, prayer, the message, or because the bible says we should not forsake the assembly of believers. There might be other reasons why people go to church. Glory be to God, with my experience I have discovered why some people go to a particular church or go to church every Sunday. I will classify them in terms of mindset.

• Receivers mindset

• Givers' and receivers' mindset

• Paparazzi mindset 

• Regenerated mindset.

Receivers mindset are people who come to church with a selfish mindset. Their motive is what they can get from the pastorate and some members in terms of financial assistance and connections.

Givers and receivers mindset: The givers are the people who use their gifts, talent, skills, and profession to make things run smoothly in church. Some of them use it for the glory of God while some use it for benefit of financial assistance and connections.

Paparazzi mindset: This people's mindset is to show, and perform and they are very competitive. Some want to show their good dresses, wealth, and musical skills also their high standard of living.

Regenerated mindset: This people's mindset is to serve, worship, and obey the command of their God. These people serve their God without taking notice of whether their pastorate is watching. These people worship their God because they know that is what they are created to do on earth. These people obey the word of God that says Ephesians 2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household. 

Psalm 55:14. With whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship at the house of God, as we walked about among the worshipers.

We all have fallen into some of the above mindsets before we finally got to a regenerated mindset. I pray we God help us to be regenerated mindset worshipers. God is seeking true worshipers who will serve, worship in Spirit, and obey his commandments.

WHAT USUALLY HAPPENS EVERY SUNDAY IN ALL CHURCHES.

Do you know this scripture happens every Sunday? Luke 8: 5 – 15.

Luke 8:5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and then fowls of the air devoured it.

In every Sunday services:

➡️ The workers and Pastor in Charge are the sowers.

➡️ The activities done during the service are the seed sown.

➡️The activities are Prayer, music and word ministration.

What happened to these seeds that these people sown every Sunday services? In Luke 8:12 – 15 Jesus Christ explained it.

 The heart of the congregation are referred to the different types of ground in which the seed fell.

• Luke 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then comes the devil, and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

 The fellows just come to church for coming sake and because they don’t want to stay at home on a Sunday morning. During the service they use their phone for social media and some their minds are wandering about.

• Luke 8:13 Those on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

 These fellows are people when a season of harassment of the enemy and difficulty come to them, they whither and fall away, for they have no root in the truth and their faith is temporary.

• Luke 8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they which; when they have heard: Go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

These fellows came to church but they are much more concerned about food, clothes and shelter immediately they step out of the church they forget about the message and think about how to survive for the new week.

• Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

These fellows they hear, receive the word with joy, believe and in the time of harassment of the enemy and difficulty they use the word as a weapon of faith to overcome and produce fruit of the Spirit.

In conclusion, what type of ground are you? That is, what is the condition of your heart and mind when you at place of worship? What do you do with the word, music and prayer ministration you heard from church service?

What effect does these ministration have on you for the new week? We all are guilty of this topic in one way and other. Christ want us to hear, receive the word with joy, believe it and in the time of harassment of the enemy and difficulty we should use the word as a weapon of faith to overcome challenges and produce fruit of the Spirit.

In a nutshell Christ want our heart to be among the category of people on a good gound.

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” – (Matthew 11:12)

18. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

MESSAGE:

Some Christians are so gentle that they accommodate the devil and his agents in their lives, claiming the Bible says we should be gentle as a dove. The Bible says that it is only the violent that can take the Kingdom of God by force. The devil will do everything to ensure you don't enter that Kingdom of God; it is with violence that you will take it. If you are at peace when you should be fighting, the devil will roast you.

You must be violent when the devil is confronting you with a situation that can kill you. Any situation that can destroy your destiny or your spiritual life is not one to toy with at all.

Many years ago, I encountered a woman who was a senior official of an Examination Council in West Africa. She was married with children that were doing well. Just looking at her, everything seemed normal, but she was a habitation of demons. She came to me one day and said, "Thus saith the Lord, you are my husband". I said, "That can't be; I'm happily married, I'm a man of God, and you know I am committed to a life of holiness". She said, "You are joking, I'm going to marry you". When we couldn't handle it anymore, the matter was reported to the police and a restraining order was issued against her, to no avail. One day, I went to London on an official assignment and didn't tell anybody I was coming. Just as I entered the house where I was to stay, the phone rang and this same woman said, "Welcome, I have been waiting for you. I know where you are staying and I will be there in fifteen minutes". I told her the British police would be waiting for her at the door. Maybe because she knew there was a police station less than two minutes' walk away from the house, she did not come, but she kept on calling. Now, I knew that I had a big problem and I needed to be violent. I went on my knees and cried to God to help me. God told me, "Son, you know the meaning of whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven. You know it means that whatever you allow is allowed, whatever you forbid is forbidden". I said, "Yes Lord", then He said "It's up to you". On hearing that I said, "Okay, then this mountain must move!" and it did move. If I hadn't been violent that mountain might have killed me.

KEY POINT:

Don't handle anything that can destroy your destiny lightly

Who is a Christ Ambassador?

Definitions by versions of bible. 2 COR. 5:20a

The Passion Translation: One who carry the message of Christ to the world.

The Amplified: Christ's personal representative.

The Message & Common English Bible: One who represents Christ.

The History of Christ Ambassador

The first set of Christ Ambassadors are the 12 disciples. Followed by 70 or 72 disciples in Luke 10:1 and followed by 120 disciples in Acts 1:15. The above were Jews or Hebrews but God uses Apostle Paul for Gentile (non Jews) to become Christ Ambassador.

After you become Christ Ambassador, what next?

• You start receiving instructions from the Holy Spirit which will produce fruit of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self control. Acts 1:2 NIV & Acts 1:8 AMP. Gal. 5:22 – 23

• Responsibility and power will be giving to you during the baptism of Holy Ghost and fire which will show forth spiritual gifts. Luke 3:16. Matt. 3:12

What is spiritual gift? 1 COR. 12:1 – 11

The Amplified: Special endowments of supernatural energy.

The Message: The various ways God Spirit gets worked into lives.

Spiritual gift is power given to function. It is special abilities. “With great power comes great responsibility “ Spiderman quote.

What are spiritual gifts? 1 COR. 12:1 – 11

There are nine Spiritual gifts just as there are nine fruit of the Spirit.

• Word of wisdom

• Word of knowledge

• Discerning of spirit

• Gift of faith

• Gift of Healing

• Gift of working of Miracles

• Speaking in tongues

• Interpretation of tongues

• Gift of prophecy

These gifts can be categorized into three.

• Revelation gifts

• Power gifts

• Speaking gifts

Closer Look at Each Gift

There are many ways to categorize the 9 gifts described in 1 Corinthians 12, but we will divide them up for the sake of understanding like this:

Revelation Gifts

The revelation gifts include Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, and Discerning of Spirits. These gifts reveal what is unknown or hidden in order to bring understanding or explain God’s intentions or desires.

• Word of Wisdom: Individuals with this gift have the ability to make wise decisions and to advise others similarly. This wisdom isn’t just from trial and error in their own lives but through supernatural understanding from God. They see clearly through confusing circumstances and direct themselves and others toward God’s will and direction, closely adhering to the Word of God, of course.

• Word of Knowledge: People with this gift have a deep understanding of the will and ways of God, personally and through scripture. Supernaturally, they can discern truths about spiritual matters in order to teach or direct the church. Sometimes God gives a word of knowledge about a particular situation or person in order to protect, warn, or guide.

• Discerning of Spirits: This gift is also referred to “distinguishing between spirits.” People with this gift have the ability to discern whether a situation, person, or event is good or evil, right or wrong, heavenly or demonic. This gift is important because it can help protect God’s people and lead them in the right direction.

Power Gifts

The power gifts include Faith, Gifts of Healings, and Working of Miracles. These gifts visibly demonstrate God’s power.

• Faith: This gift is different than faith unto salvation (which all believers enjoy). The gift of faith involves the supernatural ability to believe and trust God in extenuating circumstances for extraordinary results. This gift of faith often brings about incredible miracles and is closely related to the other Power Gifts.

• Gifts of Healings: God works through a person with this gift to heal and restore people’s bodies, minds, and emotions. This person has a level of faith to believe God for healing in any situation and is willing to try even non-conventional methods if God leads.

• Working of Miracles: A person with this gift can be used by God to do any type of creative miracle from using physical strength to move a car to regenerating a body part to affecting the weather. There is no limit to what God can do, and the person with this spiritual gift has the faith to believe God for anything.

Speaking Gifts

The speaking gifts include Speaking in Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues, and Prophecy. God uses these gifts to audibly communicate with us.

• Speaking in Tongues: Speaking in tongues is a gift that is a sign to unbelievers (1 Corinthians 14:22). A person with this gift will supernaturally speak in an unknown language and get the attention of everyone nearby. If this gift is used in a corporate setting, the message in tongues must be interpreted.

• Interpretation of Tongues: A person with the gift of interpreting tongues has a supernatural ability to understand and explain to others the message given in tongues. The result is that God is glorified and the church is edified.

• Prophecy: Believers with the gift of prophecy don’t necessarily tell the future as much as they build up, encourage, and redirect the church body. They help the church understand the heart and desires of God and urge the church to wholeheartedly pursue God and holiness.

The Two Princes

There are two princes in the Spiritual realm. One became Prince by obedience and the other became Prince by disobedient. One became the Prince of Peace the other became the prince of the world. Both princes have power and rules the spiritual realm. The prince of the world came to steal, kill and destroy while the prince of peace came for humanity to have life and have the life in full and abundant. Prince of Peace overcame the prince of the world. The prince of the world uses the flesh as weapon for human to disobey God while the prince of peace uses the Spirit as tool to worship and obey God. Both princess uses  weapon, one uses carnality and the other uses spirituality. The prince of peace is Jesus Christ while the prince of the world is Lucifer.  Humanity makes allegiance to either of the princes by will power.

Grace is King in my Life

God's grace is all we need or ever needed in times of troubles, weakness, insults, hardships, persecution and calamities. God's power works best when we are weak and don't know what to do. Grace is King in my Life! Hallelujah!

2 Corinthians 12:9 Each time he said, " My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness. " So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me.

The Creator of our soul is God. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The enemy of our soul is the devil. Psalms 143:3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Psalms 116:8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

The Saviour of our soul is Jesus Christ our Lord and Messiah. Psalms 62:1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

Every souls was made by God. By choice you give it  to the devil or Jesus Christ. Who have you given yours to?

Demons at work during Sunday services are modern ways the devil uses to distract us from Sunday services blessings.

If you go to Church and you are sleeping during the preaching of the word of God. Demons are at work.

If you go to church and you are pressing your phone to chat, check Facebook and other social media. Demons are at work.

If you go to church and you are busy doing other activities like gist outside the church or at the usher and technical department room. Demons are at work.

If you go to church, sit down and listen to the preaching also take some notes of the message. You never revise or review it again. Demons are at work.

If you are a minister and you don't take note of the message because it is a junior minister or ordinary worker preaching. Demons are at work.

In other not to let demons work during Sunday services let us change our ways.

They are servants of Christ put in charge of explaining God's secret 1 Cor. 4:1 NIV & NLT. Some have just a talent and others have many talents and they will be held responsible for the way they use their talent Matt. 25:14 - 18. There workstation is ministry that is ministers works in ministries. Ministers in ministries are not in a race of competition but they are those who compliment each other for equipping of the church. Since they are servants of Christ so therefore Christ is their Master and their center of attraction and message.

These three M's are essential in the life of ministers of God. Using the unknown servant of Kish who followed Saul to look for the  donkey that got lost in 1 Sam. 9:5 - 10 as case study.

Why do you worship God?

Why do you worship God?

It is good to worship God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He will do. The best reason to worship God is to worship Him for who He is. Who is God to you? 

I worship God because He is the revealers of secret.

I worship God because He is Almighty.

I worship God because He is my saviour.

Introduction to spirituality

There are two world. The spiritual and the physical. The spiritual world has the light world and the dark world. The physical world has the good and the bad moment and behavioural. Human are both spiritual and physical being. In the spiritual world, humans worship and follow either the light or dark world. In physical world humans chooses either to do good or bad by the will power we all have. The spiritual controls the physical. The spiritual world in us either light or dark makes us to worship, follow, choose to do good or bad also determines the moments and behavioural attitude.

The custodian of the light world is Jesus Christ while the custodian of the dark world is the devil. The Almighty God is owner of the world and the custodian.

What Sunday is about?

In Nigeria, we view the day Sunday has a day we go to Church and worship God. In my own family, it is a day we must wake up early go to church and prepare for service for other members coming to church. It is also a day we meet other members of the church and we interact. Some people even call it a day to rest from any activities.

I have been doing these activities from my childhood now am asking is this what the day Sunday all about?

The greatest event in human history occurred on Sunday. Jesus rose from the grave on the first day of the week, which is the New Testament term for Sunday1. “Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene” (Mark 16:9).

The Lord's Day in Christianity is generally Sunday, the principal day of communal worship. It is observed by most Christians as the weekly memorial of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is said in the canonical Gospels to have been witnessed alive from the dead early on the first day of the week.

The question now is does Sunday remind us of the resurrection of Jesus Christ?

Mind and Regeneration processes

We usually say repent of your sin but it has processes. I realized last week Sunday from Father's Bible Church lekki message that we need Holy Spirit to change and the change start with your mind then your heart and life. These scriptures back it up. Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

If you go to church and you don't catch fire (I mean get revival in your spirit) to sustain you throughout the rest of the week, you just attended your village meeting or social gathering for fun. If you go to church and you still feel trouble and depress, you just attended something that add fired pan to your fire. One of these ministrations must touch your spirit. Either word ministration or song ministration or prayer ministration. If none of these ministrations touch you, you just wasted your precious time. It is supposed to be time of refreshing in His presence. Enjoy His presence and experience the refreshing time.

Our first spiritual war begins when we decide to keep the commandments of God and share the testimony of Jesus Christ but there is an assured victory. St. John 16:33 NLT 

 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." 

Rev. 12:11 KJV. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Something to die for

The Apostles had two most important things to overcome the powers of darkness. These things gave them sure victory and they are willing to die for it. The two things are blood of the lamb Jesus Christ and the Message or the word of God. Rev. 12:11 KJV. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:11 NLT. And they have defeated him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of their testimony. And they were not afraid to die.

Choose you this day

Choose the routes of love for God that would lead to life and prosperity. See the reality of John 14:6 Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Choose the way of the cross that leads to eternal life with Christ in Heaven. You have to choose either the above or you choose otherwise.
